The Name’s Craig, Daniel Craig

Daniel Craig will impersonate the most famous British spy −James Bond− for one last time, according to confirmed reports by BBC and The Guardian.

Craig had hinted he would not be reprising the role after his participation in ‘Spectre’ (2015):

I’d rather break this glass and slash my wrists. No, not at the moment. Not at all. That’s fine. I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on.

The new film dubbed ‘Bond 25’ for the time being is expected to be released in late 2019, produced by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli (producers of the last 8 instalments).

It has been said (although not confirmed) Craig receives around £10.7 million each time he plays the role of Bond for the big screen. He is definitely the best-paid Bond in history.

The question fans are now asking is, who will direct the upcoming film? Sam Mendes did a decent job in ‘Skyfall’ (2012) but failed to meet expectations in ‘Spectre’. Christopher Nolan has been mentioned as a possible successor, given his ability to revamp much-loved characters as he did with Batman and Superman. The filmmaker has entertained this notion but nothing is certain for now.
