McDonald’s and its “big” cooking change

Loving it?

Fast food giant McDonald’s revealed today plans to change the way beef patties are cooked in all its hamburgers. What’s the big change? Nothing fancy as you might’ve suspected.

According to Business Insider the change comes in the grilling or searing process of the beef patties. Buns will also be in the oven for an extra 5 seconds, yeah, to make them warmer.

These little things add up to big differences for our customers… We’re recommitting to tastier food across the menu: Steve Easterbrook, McDonald’s CEO.

According to TIME magazine, this isn’t the first time the company has changed the heating instructions for its products. In 1990 they reportedly gave up toasting its buns altogether.

McDonald’s, founded in 1940, has over 36,000 locations worldwide and is the second world’s largest private employer, only behind Walmart.

Talk about irony

The same day, USA Today reported the escape of a cow from a slaughter house in Cincinnati. The animal amused and confused motorists according to the source, before it was shot and killed near a McDonald’s restaurant.
