Post-Britpop band Beady Eye, led by former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher, have come apart following an estrangement with manager Scott Rodger.
During its existence, the band released two studio albums: ‘Different Gear, Still Speeding’ (2011) and ‘BE’ (2013). One of their most notable acts took place during the closing ceremony of the Games of the XXX Olympiad (London) when they actually performed a song written by Oasis mastermind, Noel Gallagher.
Sensationalist media have suggested the separation of the band might result in the reunion of Oasis, given that Beady Eye members were part of that band; however in October The Guardian informed Noel Gallagher had ruled out the possibility of a reunification for the Glastonbury festival to be held in 2015.
Beady Eye are no longer. Thanks for all your support. LGx

As an avid Oasis fan and a Britpop enthusiast I can only say good riddance! When Oasis disbanded we got two different bands, three albums and several nice tunes, but everything must come to an end eventually. If ‘BE’ will be the last piece of music created by Liam, Gem and Andy, so be it, it was fun, it was a blast while it lasted but we don’t want to see the guys performing forever, do we? Take The Rolling Stones for instance, pathetic shows carried out by expensive visual effects and support vocals, what a pitiful act!
And I don’t think Andy, Gem or Chris should become part of the Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds. Oasis had its time and it reached its peak somewhere in the 90’s, they released some good albums deeply appreciated by fans and harshly criticised by the so-called experts for not being as successful as the second studio album (wankers!) but I consider that was enough. Even if Noel himself decided to retire I would be gratified bearing in mind all the good material he has given us.
Not all the bands that have scattered are meant to reunite, just as not all bands ought to release 12 or 15 albums and keep on stage until senectitude.
