Corona® beer presents the Capital festival 2014 which will take place on October 11th and 12th in Mexico City featuring Black Kids, Weezer, Massive Attack, MGMT, Jack White, Kasabian, Belle & Sebastian, Foster The People, Damon Albarn, Beck and Kings of Leon, among many others.
This is the festival’s fifth edition. Previous instalments included highly successful acts such as Regina Spektor, James, Portishead, New Order, Stereophonics and Miles Kane. Last year there was a cancellation by John Talabot, who became a victim of organized crime in Mexico prior to the festival; this issue however was quickly forgotten by the fans that rather enjoyed the festival anyway.
The 2014 edition marks the return to Mexico City of one of my personal favourite bands: Belle & Sebastian. The band from Glasgow recently announced the title for their upcoming studio album ‘Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance’ to be released in January, 2015. Before the Capital festival, Belle & Sebastian will perform in the Austin City Limits Festival, in the United States. You can click here to take a look at some photographs of the band’s performance in Mexico City in October, 2010.
We’re the younger generation, we grew up fast
All the others did drugs
They’re taking it out on us

Oh and if you already have your ticket (and bracelet, it is supposed to be mandatory to get it) for the Capital festival and are wondering what not to wear, you can take a look at what the people in Garuyo have to say about that.
