Argentine songwriter and Soda Stereo frontman Gustavo Cerati has passed away after having been in a coma for over four years following a stroke he suffered in Venezuela.
Gustavo Adrián Cerati Clark had just turned 55 last month. He was born on August 11th, 1959 in Buenos Aires Argentina into a family of European background.
As a musician he worked on different rock subcategories such as alternative, pop rock, indie rock and electronic rock. He was skilled in both, guitar and synthesizer.
“Paseo inmoral” (Immoral Stroll) and “Siempre es hoy” (Always is Today) are amongst Cerati’s most popular songs as a solo artist. With Soda Stereo he reached the top of many charts with hits like “En la ciudad de la furia” (In the City of Fury) and “Zoom”.
