Louis van Gaal lands United job

As had been anticipated, Dutchman Louis van Gaal will take command of the ‘Red Devils’ following the dismissal of David Moyes (who was appointed by Sir Alex Ferguson to succeed him).

Lous van Gaal is currently focused on his job as coach of the Dutch national team but will report to Old Trafford as soon has the Oranje finish their participation in the FIFA World Cup™ 2014.

According to The Guardian, current interim coach Ryan Giggs will serve as van Gaal’s first assistant. The Telegraph reports the Dutchman will become the first United manager from outside the British Isles.

The confirmation of this appointment has put an end to a series of speculation and alleged leaks, claiming Ancelotti or Klopp would land the job of United’s manager.

Louis van Gaal (62) who has won the UEFA Champions League™, La Liga and other tournaments with Ajax and FC Barcelona, will lead Het Nederlands Elftal during this summer’s World Cup in which they will face the likes of Spain (title holders), Austrlia and Chile during the group stage.

May 19th, 2014.
