Ferguson goes Harvard Crimson

Changed the Premier League for the Ivy League

Sir Alexander Chapman Ferguson (aka Alex Ferguson or Fergie) has secured a long-term teaching position at Harvard University, according to The Telegraph.

At Harvard (located in Cambridge, Ma.) Ferguson will lecture senior executives enrolled in a programme called “The Business of Entertainment, Media and Sports”.

The 72-year-old retired football manager from Glasgow had previously collaborated with Harvard researcher Anita Elberse, according to Eurosport.

I’m delighted to have the opportunity and privilege to contribute to such a respected centre of excellence… The time I have already spent at Harvard has been a stimulating experience and I look forward to developing my relationship and activities with the students, faculty and friends of the Harvard Business School community. Sir Alex Ferguson.

Manchester United fans all over the world might have been expecting some different news, given the poor performance of the team this term in the Barclays Premier League, where currently they run in the seventh place of the table. This Saturday the “Red Devils” will face Newcastle at St. James’s Park.
