All in one rhythm
Exactly 6 months and 6 days from now the kick-off of the FIFA World Cup™ Brazil 2014 will take place in São Paulo. Today in Bahia, Brazil the final draw has taken place, giving us the complete list of groups and the matches for the group stage of the competition.
At first sight we can notice some potentially epic fixtures in the group stage like Spain Vs. Netherlands and England Vs Italy or some others featuring old rivalries, like Brazil Vs Mexico and Argentina Vs Nigeria.
The knock-out stage will begin on June 28th, 2014 in Belo Horizonte (Mineirão) with the clash between the Group A winner (probably the hosts) and the Group B runner-up. Final match is scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 13th, 2013 in the legendary Estádio do Maracanã.
Brazuca will serve as the official match ball of the competition, manufactured by ADIDAS™. Brazuca is an informal term used by Brazilians to describe national pride in the Brazilian way of life. Hopefully there will be less performance complaints with this ball than with its predecessor Jabulani.
Fuleco the Armadillo is the official mascot of the tournament. Its name was chosen over the names Amizade and Zuzeco by Brazilian fans. Supposedly the mascot will convey messages of environmental concerns.
