Gem Archer injured. Shows called off




British rock band Beady Eye has called off at least two of the forthcoming shows due to the hospitalisation of one of its members: Gem Archer.


Archer (age 46) suffered severe head trauma in an accident on the evening of August 1st, 2013, according to an official skimpy release. It is unclear how Gem sustained such injury; however he is allegedly in stable condition.


Bonehead + OASISThe ex-Oasis musician took over the band’s rhythm guitars following the departure of original band member Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs in 1999, before the release of ‘Standing on the Shoulder of Giants’.


Beady Eye is scheduled to perform in V Festival (UK) on August 17th, 2013. American popstar Beyencé will headline the show.


We of course wish Gem a speedy recovery.
