Italian striker Mario Balotelli will leave Barclays Premier League to join AC Milan as soon as he completes a medical and actually signs the contract, according reports from the BBC and The Telegraph.
Balotelli is no stranger to the capital of Lombardy, given that he played for archrivals Internazionale during 4 seasons (2006 – 2010), before joining Manchester City for a Є22 million deal.
AC Milan is owned by notorious tycoon Silvio Berlusconi, who recently stated the club did not need a “rotten apple”, referring to Balotelli’s possible transfer.
Balotelli’s performance during the current season has been far from ideal, with only 3 goals in 15 appearances with Manchester City. In the Rossonero club, Mario Balotelli will struggle to get a place in the first squad having teammates like El Shaarawy, Boateng and Pazzini.
Manchester City’s most distinguished fan, Noel Gallagher, has not reacted to the news, but we remember last year he described “Super Mario” this way:
That kid truly does not give a flying fuck about anything: Noel Gallagher.
Balotelli’s signing comes in handy during what has been a rather dull winter transfer window, to my recollection anyway.
