Abercrombie & Fitch to MTV’s star: please don’t wear our clothes

Switch to an alternate brand



American clothesline Abercombie & Fitch™ has offered Michael Sorrentino (a.k.a. ‘The Situation’) a “substantial” amount of money to refrain from using its clothes, according to The Guardian.


Sorrentino stars MTV‘s pseudo-reality show Jersey Shore which follows the lives Italian-American youngsters.

We are deeply concerned that Mr Sorrentino’s association with our brand could cause significant damage to our image. We have therefore offered a substantial payment to Michael ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino and the producers of MTV’s Jersey Shore to have the character wear an alternate brand. We have also extended this offer to other members of the cast, and are urgently waiting a response: A&F spokesman.

Abercrombie & Fitch describes itself as an all-American lifestyle brand of clothing. According to Wikipedia, the Abercrombie & Fitch brand image is heavily promoted as an international near-luxury lifestyle concept.
