Cesc Fàbregas to join Barça

Will Arsenal skipper leave Emirates Stadium?

According to reports from Eurosport and Spanish newspapers AS [es] and Marca [es], Cesc Fàbregas will play for F.C. Barcelona next season.  He’s reportedly travelling to Barcelona this weekend to undergo medical evaluations and be formally presented as a Barcelona player on Monday 15th.

British sensationalist newspaper The Sun states Barça will pay £36’000,000.00 for the five-year deal.

Francesc Fàbregas i Soler was born in Vilassar de Mar, Barcelona, Catalonia (Spain) on May 4th, 1987.  Although he started his youth career with F.C. Barcelona, he’s best known for his role in Arsenal, a team he joined in 2003, becoming one of the top players at Premier League.

‘The Gunners’ have not officially confirmed the move.  Arsène Wenger pays no attention to rumours and urges his team to focus on training.

The transfer speculation is disruptive but not an excuse, we have to deal with that, it is part of our job. People come in and out. What is important is that people are focused on achieving things for this club. Arsène Wenger.
