Javier ‘Chicharito‘ Hernández, United’s first Mexican player is in his debut season at Barclay’s Premier League, and has already become one of the most valuable members in Sir Alex Ferguson’s squad.
Hernández has scored 20 goals for the ‘Red Devils’ in 43 appearances since his debut on August, 2010. Last Sunday at Old Trafford, the ‘Little Pea’ put the ball in the net just 36 seconds past the kick-off. Manchester United defeated Chelsea in a game which could be considered as definitive in United’s aspirations to become champion of the Premier League once again.
The 22 year-old Mexican striker has also been essential for United in the UEFA Champions League where he has scored 4 goals in 8 appearances.
United’s Welsh veteran star Ryan Giggs has recently praised Hernández’s performance with the ‘Red Devils’:
Twenty goals in his first season is unbelievable. You are always in with a chance when you have a goalscorer like Javier in your team. He has made a fantastic impact, on and off the pitch. His English is perfect, which has helped, and his goal tally just sums up his season. He deserves everything that has been said about him. Ryan Gigs.
