Coffee giant Starbucks™ will renew its worldwide known logo to mark its 40th anniversary.
Basically they’ll get rid of the name (letters) and will enlarge the siren image, turning it green instead of black.
The logo has gone through some changes since 1971, when it was brown and featured the words “coffee and tea”. Here you can take a look at the former logos.
Did you know?
- The first Starbucks was opened in Seattle, Washington, on March 30th, 1971.
- Starbucks is present in more than 55 countries, and it is in constant expansion. The first Starbucks location outside North America opened in Tokyo, Japan, in 1996. If you’re in Africa you can only find Starbucks in Egypt.
- In 2010, Starbucks had over 137,000 employees worldwide. Enough people to fill Emirates Stadium to the top capacity… twice! (Actually, a little bit more).
