Arshavin piace alla Juve

Arsenal Arshavin 2009Andrei Arshavin, Arsenal’s Russian attacking midfielder might be leaving the team in the next days.

According to reports from the Spanish sports newspaper Marca, Juventus F.C. are very keen on the Russian and will look to secure the signing.

There is a possibility of Andrei moving to Juventus (…) there is also the financial capacity of Juve to consider, as Arsenal are demanding at least €20million for Arshavin: Dennis Lachter, Arshavin’s agent.

La Gazzetta dello Sport has also reported the possibilities of a transfer from the Emirates Stadium to the Stadio Olimpico di Torino

 Arshavin and Walcott

Andrei Sergeyevich Arshavin, current captain of the Russian national team is 29 years-old.  Before playing for the ‘Gunners’ he spent 9 seasons with Football Club Zenit (St. Petersburg).  He has scored 4 goals in this season for Arsenal and his one of Arsène Wenger’s biggest assets in the midfield, along with Fábregas, Nasri and Rosický.

As usual, rumours take over the transfer season; although at this point it is uncertain if Arshavin will move away from the north London side and will actually go to the Vecchia Signora, as a fan of both teams I’ll be happy either way.  Arsenal is fighting for the leadership at the Barclays Premier League and has a chance at the UEFA Champions League.  On the other side, Juventus has always been a great team and this season might bring important things for them at the Serie A.
