The Brazilian star Ronaldo de Assís Moreira (a.k.a. Ronaldinho) is expected to sign a release from his A.C. Milan contract after arriving in Rio de Janerio and may immediately announce a deal with Gremio, who are making plans to unveil him on Friday, according to reports from The Daily Mail.
Ronaldinho played for A.C. Milan since 2008, after 5 years of glory with F.C. Barcelona.
The attacking midfielder was wanted at Ewood Park, but he has made it clear that his wish is to go back to his home-town club Gremio.
If it was down to me I would already be a Gremio player: Ronaldinho (Interview broadcast by Globo TV).
Ronaldinho has won the Ballon d’Or in 2005 and has been named FIFA World Player of the Year in 2004 and 2005.
No matter what club will hire him, his fans around the world expect him to finish his career decorously, dribbling with skills and scoring impossible goals as he is used to.
